Gary Wedin (1942-Present)

Gary Wedin was born in 1942 and he is the son of Elof Wedin.  Elof was born in Sweden and immigrated to Minnesota in 1919. He was employed as a WPA artist during the Great Depression, and his paintings from this period can be found in the collections of the Smithsonian Institute, the Walker Art Museum and the Weisman Art Museum. 

Gary is an accomplished artist in his own right and considers it an honor to have his art compared to that of his father. Gallery 5004 is proud to be featuring paintings by both Elof and Gary Wedin.
